Lifevine ValuesAs LifeVine brings women into community, the goal is to establish a place where women can carry out biblical fellowship and be a witness of Christian love and family as Christ and the New Testament church exemplified. LifeVine Values serve as biblically based principles that motivate and guide how we carry out the mission of LifeVine.
Sowing Seeds of Care... Reaping Rewards of Love
The ministry of LifeVine is based on the core value of sowing seeds of care. As women who will one day need care and support from others, LifeVine provides the opportunity for women to sow seeds of care today, so they can reap that which they have sown.
This spiritual concept requires our faith in the promise of Christ, when He said,
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you (Luke 6:38 NKJV)).
When we give--no matter what we give--God promises that it will be given back to us. For whatever a man sows, this he will also reap (Gal 6:7). If we give anger, we will receive anger; if we project selfishness, we will get selfishness. But if we sow seeds of encouragement and selflessness, we will receive those back from others. As LifeVine women sow seeds of care, they will reap care in time of need, pressed down, shaken together and running over!
Doing Unto Others... Serving Christ
We have all heard the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Jesus said in His sermon on the mount, In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you (Matthew 7:12). As a ministry, our commitment is to minister to women without family through their advanced years and end of life. We not only strive to care for them as we would our own family, we strive to care for women in the way we will want to be cared for in our advanced years. As we sow seeds of care, we are doing unto others, not as we would want someone to do unto us, but as we will want someone to do unto us. It's not a hypothetical… it's a reality and we each come to this ministry to invest in others the way we will want others to invest in us.
Striving for Excellence... Walking in Faith
Someone once said, "Excellence can be attained if you... care more than others think is wise, risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others think is practical, expect more than others think is possible." This kind of excellence can only be accomplished with the grace, divine inspiration, and daily guidance of the Holy Spirit. God never calls us to do small things for Him. He calls us to do things that only He can accomplish through us. This, we believe, is the path to excellence: hearing God's voice, seeing His vision, and stepping out in faith to accomplish His will.
While God uses His children to accomplish His task, He is never hindered by their weakness, only their lack of faith. As we strive for excellence we trust in Jesus' command, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Matthew 7:7). God never calls His people to an endeavor He hasn't already provided for in every way. So with confidence we strive for excellence and walk in faith!

However, we realize that as we serve others, we are also serving Christ. Jesus made it clear that we will all one day stand before the judgment seat and account for our lives on earth. We each want to hear Him say, Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these [sisters] of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me (Matthew 25:40). So we do unto others… not only as we would have them do unto us… but in the way we would do unto Jesus.
